Let’s Unpack!

Our services are tailored to what you might need most:

  • Combining two families can take a slew of organizing.

  • Clearing a space after someone has passed can be a lot of disposing, selling or giving away items.

  • Getting divorced can mean unpacking and setting up a kid-friendly home for your first time.

  • Retiring into the long coveted beach bungalow might call for design touches.

  • Relocating is tough enough, maybe you just need someone to help and take a walk around the your new neighborhood with you.

Let’s Unpack can make the process of unpacking and setting up your home less overwhelming, better handled, better looking and possibly more fun.

Meet two of our clients

Abigail

Abigail had two toddlers and a two-week old baby when she got in touch with me. She had put everything into storage and was living with her in-laws while she waited for her 5 bedroom house in Huntington to be ready. Her husband was also starting a new business. She is hands down one of the most organized people I have ever met. But she was also only one person who had to breastfeed, pick up her other kids, deal with contractors and furniture deliveries and needed serious progress made on getting the house set up. I unpacked for two days straight and set up the kitchen, the kids’ rooms and the basement playroom.

“I like to think of myself as efficient and fast at my tasks at hand, but then I met Jan. She ripped through the over 100 boxes we had from our move in just two days. She had my kitchen and master closet (two very important areas) organized before I could even have lunch! She broke down every single box, got rid of all the garbage from the move, and didn’t leave a piece of dust behind.”

Daniel

Daniel is a recently separated parent who moved into a new apartment. He reached out because he wanted to make one of the rooms into a kids’ room and make the apartment a warm and welcoming place his kids would want to come to often. He gave me a budget. He had ordered the bunk bed already, but I went to his apartment to wait for the delivery so he would not miss a day of work. I bought the bed linens, rug and dresser for the kids’ room and then set up the room. I added items throughout house to make the apartment less bachelor pad and more kids live here as well.

“Jan is such a force of nature, it makes me want to move again.”
